We offer competitive rates & custom menus—the perfect fit for your budget & taste buds.Steak and Stein first opened its doors as in 1967 and quickly gained a reputation as one of the Hudson Valley’s leading steakhouses. It was owned and operated by the Banta family, who called it “Banta’s Steak and Stein” from the time it opened until the fall of 2010 when it closed its doors.
Jean Halligan and Teddy Lutas couldn’t bear to see the restaurant closed down—they purchased Steak & Stein in June of 2011 and reopened it, dropping the “Banta” from its name.
